Staff who working there are quite helpful and friendly. Location is pretty perfect, beach in front of the hostel. Two mins driving distance from town center. If you are young and looking for a place to meet new friends, this is the place to go. Only thing not really satisfy is the hot water system, water not very hot

Absolute beachfront amongst a line of $10m homes.Friendly, working hostel. Being in wine country, they have Free Wine and a lovely lady brings in pies and breads every evening!!Some people find it hard to leave and I totally can see why.

The place to get a new family and just one of the best places for people looking for safe and comfortable accommodation with a welcoming team. Some of the best times of my lifeNote that if you want the best of every thing in a backpacking hostel it is not for you

The receptionist kept changing the prices and room types about 3 times prior to booking, because he thought I was someone who had stayed there before. When he found out that I ve never stayed there, he changed his attitude towards me drastically. Had to cancel my trip there, 36 dollars for a dorm room is just quite a bit expensive. When I called in to cancel, tom at reception just hung up on me with a quick alright no worries". Will now definitely never plan a trip there at all. What a shame since I am a YHA member and quite liked their service at other locations in the past like for instance at Port Elliot. What a flop. 1/5 stars for that service

We really enjoyed this Hostel! Sunrise was UNREAL! What a great location, cute house and very open set-up, great for meeting people. I wish we had had more time to actually enjoy it all! My partner and I stayed in their double room. Decent size, comfortable bed, big window offered lots of natural light, but the big tree in front made it feel private.If you're in a share room, I'd recommend asking for one of the bunk rooms on the 2nd floor that has a window overlooking the beach. That would have been nice.I lost my bathing suit bottoms while there, and the hosts were wonderful at locating them and holding onto them until a local friend could pick them up.

Aged building, our double/triple room was opposite the bathroom which was noisy but otherwise fine. Some busier YHAs are always in new condition but as with many re regional ones this was more rustic/showing it's age. A great location with beach access. Friendly vibes and staff. Short reception hours but they're still helpful and friendly. I'd happily stay again.

Easily one of my favourite YHAs, thanks to the gorgeous location and the overall vibe! Extended my stay just to spend a whole day sitting by the backyard (aka the beach) relaxing.

No idea why everyone isn't talking about the fact that the bunk beds are built so that a normal human person can sit underneath without bending their neck at a horrific angle. Good work guys! Other hostels, take note!Also beach front spot alongside some mega fancy houses, again, how can you be sad...New guy on reception made sure there were logs for the fire too! Perfect winter break :)

Affordable stay 2km from main town street.Clean shared bathrooms with clean beds and spacy rooms. All amenities are well thought. Bike rental on site. Huge shared spaces. Some furniture seems already worn. it gets noisy at night. Administration should enforce more control on drugs and cigarette consumption as well as noise in the hallways at night. Bring your ear plugs.Pool like and not crowded beach is right at the backyard.

Very friendly staff. The rooms have lockers and they provide you with kitchen stuff which is very helpful.The kitchen is big and the common areas are very good too. Toilets are okay too. And the yard is very big and exactly in front of the beach.When I stayed there, there was a party environment, so that is up to you, depending on what you are looking for.
