I loved my stay here. The owner is super kind and helpful, the rooms and kitchen are very clean and the location is perfect. There is an outdoor patio area what was great to get some work done outside.10/10, would definitely go back

Great facilities & great location. The staff - Pippa are really helpful and accommodating and full of knowledge of the local area.Locked Car park out the back. We only just got a space so arrive earlier if you want a space.

Lovely backpackers hostel. Stayed here as part of a Red Earth Safari backpackers tour. Staff were kind and nothing we asked for, was too much trouble. Kitchen, rooms and bathrooms were clean and had everything you expect of a hostel. Gorgeous rambling old building by the ocean (originally built as a guesthouse).Safe and secure. Lots of nice indoor and outdoor areas to eat and chill out. This is a family run hostel. If you are looking for round the clock reception for free and party central, this may not be the place for you. If you are looking for clean, a chilled respectfull vibe in a top location, then this may be for you. Would definitely stay here again and particularly under present management.

Really nice facilities, clean, big rooms. However, staff was unfriendly and not costumer focused, which resulted in the hostel being a bit of an asocial and cold place. Owners are not flexible when we asked to stay another night, lectured us on the importance of covering ourselves up when wearing a bikini top from the beach to the room (meanwhile guys walk around shirtless, no problem). It's a nice hostel, don't get us wrong, but the way we were treated made us feel quite unwelcome. As three young women, we wouldn't stay here again.

Beautifully kept century old building. So much character with an up to date kitchen and all amenities. The outdoor dining area was so relaxed you felt you could stay all day.

First of all we were laden with a late check-in fee at 9pm, a whopping $35 (we had no option to specify our arrival time). The owner put on a pleasant facade, taking an interest in our travels etc and told us we could feel free to hang around a little after 10am...Then in the morning I kindly asked to wash my clothes in the laundry room, to which the owner said 'there's not enough time.' It was 9:20am and definitely enough for a 15/30min cycle.10am came and we checked out, I simply wanted to make some sandwiches for the road on a bench outside and the owner snapped at us 'we don't allow visitors to stay past 10am'.Aesthetically it's a nice hostel, but I'd prefer it if the owner was either unapologetically ruthless or genuinely kind, not putting on an act.

I stayed twice. The first time was nice but there weren’t a lot of other people staying in the hostel. The facilities are clean and the kitchen is well equipped. And overall the facilities are nice. But after 9pm the kitchen gets closed and you won’t be able to access the fridge. Also no food or drinks are allowed in the upstairs area. The second time I would’ve arrived at 1am. I contacted the owner beforehand if it was possible for me to get access to the hostel/room after Rezeption hours and she told me that it wouldn’t be possible to get inside the hostel before 7:30am. And if I would pay the hole night I would be able to leave my backpack in the hostel from 7:30am on. And it also would’ve been nice to be able to leave your stuff at Rezeption or somewhere else in the hostel before the check in time at 3:30pm without needing to pay something.

Very organised and clean place. Beautiful views, good vibes, common areas very tidy and clean, creates a good environment to chat to the other visitors and we sure did that. 12/10 best backpackers I’ve been to.
